Burlington County Fossils and the people who collected them

The Historical Society of Riverton invites you to a presentation by Ned Gilmore, Collection Manager for Vertebrate Paleontology at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

The geology of Burlington County yields fossils that date back 92 Mya (million years ago) to the Cretaceous Period through 12,000 years ago to the Late Pleistocene Period.

We’ll see fossils of dinosaurs, giant white sharks, mastodons, and the unique fauna of the one-celled animals called foraminifers.

Free admission – Open to the public – Seating is limited
