    1. Hi, Frank – Thanks for stopping by. Maybe a website visitor can confirm and provide more info, but it looks like Sun Beach Motel is now at that address. Look at their website http://www.sunbeachmotel.com/ and the streetview of google maps and see what you think. The long link follows – Best regards, John McCormick

  1. Have a lincoln plate from Hotel Lincoln. Don’t know how old it is, maybe you can help. Its a face of Lincoln and different quotes he made along the the sides of the face. Any insite into this for me?

  2. I stayed there with a group of college kids summer of 1971, right before it was slated to be demolished. I think it was torn down shortly after that.

  3. I dated a waitress from the Coffee Shop in ’68. She was runner up in the Miss Ocean City contest. A strikingly beautiful girl, but weird. She was brought up on pageants and was in a whole different world.

  4. If this place was built in 1954 according to the model, it turned into a real dump at warp speed. We piled 8 into a room during high school days in the last 60’s, and it was terrible then.

  5. Received this comment from Georges Alain Francoeur: Bonjour Mr Mc Cormick During the summers of 1963-64 and 65 I worked at the Lincoln hotel and restaurant as a pantry man. I was a young man from Montreal Quebec wishing to learn English. Mr and Mrs Cope were the owners at that time. With a bunch of boys and girls, we spent a lot of time on the beach, the boardwalk and a small restaurant on Westley ave. named The Jukebox. It was rock and roll time. Westley Ave was the driveway of the GTO, the Mustang, the corvette. Many good and unforgettable souvenirs. During 1965, I lost many friends who were drafted for Vietnam. That was the end of the fun.

  6. I worked the desk on third trick in the summer of 66 confiscated lots of alcohol. Got a free room and plenty to drink. Also worked on the boardwalk at Bob,s Grill got a free meal everyday.

  7. I stayed there with my mother and grandmother in 1967. I was 16 years old and fell for my first love who was staying there as well. His name was Chip. He was there with a friend. They were older, maybe 18 and let me hang out with them. They showed me how to surf.
I loved the Lincoln Hotel. It had a wonderful character from the past. Even at 16 I appreciated its history and vintage character.
