  1. Love all your photos. Thanks for posting. Do you have any reference or photos to Palmyra Artisans group?

    1. I answered Pam awhile ago, but if a reader has a knowledge of the Palmyra Artisans we will pass it on. – JMc

    2. Now that the historical newspapers are online I think you will find several references to the Palmyra Artisans. In the search box above, type “artisan” and you should get several hits.

  2. Very interesting. My grandmother grew up in West Palmyra near where the high school stadium was built. She lived there in the 1890’s.

  3. These photos look like they are from Gary’s personal collection from a time when he served as Mayor of Palmyra,

Amazing how old he is, but does not look much over 64, come next November 7th. Happy Birthday, WEART !!!

  4. Thanks Pete! These photos are awesome. I have enjoyed the visit. My Great Grandfather would be proud of the way the history of Palmyra is being preserved. He was the real first Mayor of Palmyra NJ.

      1. Lisa: My buddy Pete was playing around. The actual first mayor was my great grandfather James Taylor Weart from 1923 to 1928. He was also on the Palmyra SChool Board for around 11 years. He served as the Chairman/President. Will Valentino with the Palmyra Historical Socirty has set up a display at the Borough Hall in the lobby in Palmyra that has a wealth of information, photos, and memorabilia. Check it out if you have the opportunity. Take care, Gary R. Weart (Johns Island SC)

  5. Does anyone have any pictures of 331 West Broad Street, Palmyra, NJ. Does anyone know when this building was demolished?

  6. Left Palmyra in 1963 at the age of 14. Would have graduated with the class of 1966. My name is Bill Clewell and my family and I lived at 900 Cinnaminson Ave. would love to hear from anyone from that time period.
