    1. I owned two small boats and kept them there from1953 to 58. One was a 12 foot flat bottom with a 5.5 hp Elgin. It was not fast enough so the next year my dad bought 6 hp mercury. It was really fast and I enjoy skimming along the calm waters of Cornell and Princeton Harbors at sunset. Harvey Laubach was great as was Wayne his mechanic. Harvey let me moore the there for free.

After two years we bought a 14’ Wolverine with a Mark 25 Mercury. It was sea worthy enough to get us out through the inlet to the Red Sea bouy. We fished the inlet down Ingram Thoroughfare to Paddy’s Hole and south through Great Sound into Stone Habor waters. We occasionally stopped in Stone Harbor for Springer’s ice cream. We especially enjoyed running the waters in and around Graven Thorofare and Long Reach. WONDERFUL DAYS.
