Hi, Dorrie
Thanks for visiting rivertonhistory.com. This question took some digging way back to October 15, 1907. See the attached newspaper clipping in a separate email for more details. Hope this helps.

I would like to correct your date. My grandmother was the organist at the time the fire destroyed the pipe organ. I assumed there was more than 1 fire. My grandfather was also Pastor for a time. Be in touch if you would like more info. I was a member for 18 years. I was baptized there and VERY involved, as was my mother and grandparents before me. Actually, 4 generations. Yes, it is a Spanish church now.
There was a fire in the 150’s. I was in jr high. It was rebuilt and added on to. I lived on North 26th Street in East Camden. I got married there in 1961 and continued attending church until mid 70’s. Sometime later I heard it was a Spanish church.
I am thinking I may know you. I also was heavily involved with the church, baptized there, grandmother was organist before I was born. Grandfather was Pastor for a time. I believe that would be late 1940s-early 1950s. Kenneth T Hand was Pastor when I was there for 18 years.
Besides the information I have added above, I have a picture of me with the Jr. choir on the front steps. Also, I was involved with Jet Cadets for 8 years.
What year was the fire at Grace Baptist Church. 27th and Cramer Streets, East Camden, NJ
